Early this Tuesday morning in Avondale, Arizona, a fatal pedestrian-car accident took place, a pedestrian man dying after being hit by two cars.
The crash occurred at around 3:30 a.m., on Buckeye Road just to the east of 107th Avenue.
Maricopa County Sheriff's Office officials stated that two drivers, who were heading eastbound, made emergency 911 calls to report that they had hit something in the roadway. The drivers soon realized, upon getting out and investigating, that what they hit was actually a person.
Both drivers stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities, and investigators indicated that impairment did not appear to have been a factor on the part of the drivers. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
The man who was killed, described as a white or light-skinned Hispanic male, has not be identified at this time.
Buckeye Road was shut off for a time between 99th Avenue and 107th Avenue for investigators and cleanup crews to do their jobs.
